Lead The Field - Earl Nightingale. Mini Review.
I won’t lie. I didn’t want to listen when i was first introduced to it.
Here’s how it went. My Mom brought the tapes home from our local library and told me I should give them a listen. As any good son would, I let them sit on my desk for a week or two, then finally one day when I was home alone i popped one of the tapes (yes tapes) into the old ghetto stereo. I listened to the first side of the first tape (that would be side “A”). I was a bit intrigued by the knowledge the narrator (Author as well) seemed to have. So the next day I went to listen to side “B” of the first tape….Give me a break man! I couldn’t figure it out! After rewinding the tape and fast forwarding it about 5 times trying to find the correct spot I gave up. Yes, the old ghetto tape player defeated me. Back in the day I used to know how to operate those cursed things.
I actually quite enjoyed side “A” so i did a search on the ineternet hoping to find the audio in .mp3 format for free. I did in fact find the .mp3 format version from Earl Nightingale’s Website, but of course it wasn’t free. I figured the knowledge contained in the audio files was worth the $32.97 I payed for it. It indeed was. I just finished listening to the series on my sweet new Zune. Anyways, I would advise anyone that’s interested in listening to a brilliant person’s experiences and advice to buy this series. In my opinion it was really worth the cash. If you can’t seem to find the money, email me and who knows, maybe I’ll hook you up.
Word to your Mom.
