This post is geared toward my senior audience – that is if I have one.
There is nothing worse than dealing with a parent that spent the last 3 hours hunkered down in the office writing a heart-felt email to a loved one only to “send” the email and………then there is some sort of error. The message didn’t send! Not only did it not send, it disappeared!

Yeah, you can sometimes just click back and the message magically reappears, but a lot of the time the message is gone forever! Yes, Mother, the internet ate your email!
I have told many victims of the internet email eating monster the same tip over and over to avoid this catastrophe: copy the freaking email before you click send! This seriously takes a matter of two key-strokes and can save you tons of time and hateful feelings.
Freaking highlight the whole email by typing Ctrl+A, then click Ctrl+C. This will select all the text within the field and copy it. Just make sure the message is the last thing you copy before sending the email.
Then, if hell breaks loose and your message disappears into the deep dark abyss that is the internet, just Ctrl+v and your message will reappear. Ctrl+V is the paste function for the uninitiated.
I do this with just about anything I put any effort into writing. This includes blog comments & forum comments. Call me paranoid, but don’t come crying to me when you lose the email that you spent the last 3 hours perfecting.
WordPress now has an auto-save feature, so I’m not too paranoid about losing these posts before I submit them.
