Noobs Guide To Voting In The United States of America

This is a super simple process. I was somewhat nervous (I hate that word, but I guess I was) to go vote. This was my first time and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ll give a quick little overview of what you can expect:

1. Go to your voting location (mine was in the basement of some library).

2. Go to the table with the voting staff sitting at it.

3. They will ask for your license.

4. Give them your license.

5. They will ask you to confirm your address. Speak it.

6. They give your license back with a temporary voting card.

7. You walk over to the area where the machines are. Some dude directs you to an available machine.

8. You stick your temporary voting card in the slot. Push it till you hear it click. ;)

9. Follow the onscreen instructions. Make sure you know what it’s talking about. I clicked “Straight Republican” and I couldn’t figure out why the ballot was all filled out when I clicked “next”. I figured out about halfway through.

10. Confirm your answers. The machine keeps a physical record of your vote on a little super-quick printer. You know, like the old fashioned ones? Pretty sweet.

11. Take out your temporary voter card. Hand it back to the voting staff.

12. The last, but easily the most important: Get Your Sweet “I Voted Sticker”. Cheers, Baby!
