I had a pretty snazzy birthday this year. Hung out with the fam, got some presents, ate some smores (instead of a birthday cake), and got some sweet presents. (Worthy digression: Smores are better the day after when they are room temperature.)The fam gave me some sweet golf clubs and a money tree. Too bad the thing doesn’t reproduce. 
I’m such a special person that I couldn’t help but splurge and buy myself a few digital gifts while the festivities were still going. I bought myself an upgraded membership (basic membership is free) to the most amazing Twitter game ever. I bought a sweet audio book called Spycraft on Audible (no link for audible cause they denied my affiliate application 
). And that’s about all she wrote.
I wish birthdays were still as cool as they used to be. My parents used to be able to spend maybe 100 bucks and I’d be the happiest boy on the planet. Now it’s a bit harder to get stoked about a squirt gun and some plastic army dudes. Thumbs down for higher expectations. Thumbs up for progression.
