16 Ways To Be UN Productive If You Have An Online Job

1. Start and try to maintain 5 + blogs.

2. Have thousands of bookmarks.

3. Check them randomly.

4. Read from tons of different news sources.

5. Read tons of affiliate blogs.

6. Sign up for several affiliate companies.

7. Check your email every 5 minutes.

8. Check affiliate stats every 10 minutes.

9. Have a Facebook account.

10. Have a Twitter account.

11. Have 100 different email addresses.

12. Buy a comfortable office chair.

13. Prop your legs up on your desk while you’re “working.”

14. Listen to Pandora.

15. Constantly rate the songs you’re listening to on Pandora. Thumbs up, thumbs down. You know you do it.

16. Eat fast food.

If you don’t agree with the above points, stop denying the truth. Yeah, you can use Twitter, Facebook and all the other online social media tools to your businesses advantage, but it can suck out 99% more of your focus than you could ever gain back with the small benefit it provides.

So what do I do after I write this? I’m sure I’ll open my Google Chrome browser which I have preset to open 3 of my different email accounts, then I’ll click the (fb-icon) Facebook icon and get right back to wasting my time. Sounds funny and somewhat hypocritical, but I’ll be damned if I don’t check my Facebook page within 5 minutes of writing this post.

What are you doing to be unproductive?

My Advice: You know those little stickers that are hanging on everybody’s walls (especially in Utah) that say things like “Simplify” or “Focus” or other stupid cliche’d-out terms like that? Yeah, they look nice, but if only we would pay attention and actually do what those stupid things say, we could clean up our lives, get focused and get something done!

For the record: Reading isn’t productive – to all of you online marketers or wannabe’s. It may make you feel special, intelligent or whatever, but Doing something with your knowledge is where the power is at.

Here’s to another post that sounds good in theory!
