Internet Explorer 8 Beta Wins The Slowest Browser Race

I’ve been annoyed lately with all of the different browsers. We’ve got Google’s New Chrome, FireFox 3 and lastly and least important – Internet Explorer 8 Beta. I’m a web designer, and web entrepreneur so I have all three of the major browsers installed and I find myself switching between them for one reason or the other frequently throughout the day.

Speed Comparison – My observations

Google Chrome is easily the fastest browser. Loads up brilliantly quick and performs just about as fast.

FireFox 3 is runner-up in the fast race. Loads in a decent amount of time, performs slower than chrome once loaded.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta is easily the slowest – and least important. Yes, those are fighting words. You will find no sugar coating.

The speed comparison is purely my observation. No Hi-Tech speed testing tools were used. I use FireFox 3 the most because it’s the fastest and most stable for what I do. I played around with Chrome for about a week, but then I realized I wasn’t getting much work done. I switched back to FireFox, but still find myself going back to it. Why am I writing this post? Just to vent. It’s better than punching a hole through my 19″ monitor or Jumping Off My Balcony. I’m personally tired of trying to make my designs compatible with all of the different browsers. What are your thoughts on the browser war?

IE is hands down the slowest, and like you said, the least important browser on the market.
