Kill Those Auto-Start Programs That Slow Down Your PC

You know how your computer takes a good 3 hours just to start up in the morning? Well, cut the crap already. This is super easy and I’m pretty sure that even my mom could complete the following task if she just happened to read this post.

Simply click the vista orb (the start button) in the bottom left corner of your screen. Type “Run” in the search and click enter. Then type in “msconfig” (without the ” “). Click “continue” if it asks.

It will bring up a box. Click the “startup” tab. This gives you a list of all the programs that are starting up automatically. All you have to do is uncheck the ones that you don’t want to auto-start. Come on now. Why would I want “AOL Service Libraries” auto-starting every time I turn on my computer. It’s stupid little programs like that that make your computer think for a good two hours before you’re able to do anything productive with it. Do this and I guarantee your computer will start up tons faster.
