I must say that the flypaper logo is my favorite part of the whole software suite.
I haven’t given flypaper much of a chance, but my first impressions tell me that it is simply a fancy version of Powerpoint on steroids + an amazing logo. I feel like someone is trying to spoon-feed me Flash and if you’re used to Adobe’s Flash, then this will make you feel like you’re a little kid in a sandbox – and not in a good way.
If you’re not sure what flypaper is, it’s a program that allows you to create flash animation, websites, and whatever other flash content your little heart may desire.
The program is massive (192MB + 59MB for the SDK), the price-tag is unfriendly, if not scary ($795 for individuals, or $9,995 for the Enterprise edit), and I just don’t see a need to open the program back up. As a matter of fact, I think I’ll remove it from my system right now.
I had high expectations leading up to and during the installation, and the logo blew my mind, so I figured I would take a quick screenshot.
I hate to rain on the flypaper parade, and I’m sure there are all sorts of people that find the software useful, I’m just not one of them.
