Perhaps you’re already aware of a cool little tool called DropBox. I’ve known about it for quite a while now, but just started using it myself. I just got a new MacBook Pro (love it btw), and so I’ve had a need for an easy way to send files to and from my PC for the last little bit until I get parallels desktop running and can ditch my beast of a desktop once and for all.
I’ll usually create a file on my Mac, then send it to myself via email in order to fix it up, or make some edits on my PC in word. So instead of emailing myself, now I use DropBox. DropBox is a little program that you install on all of your computers, devices, etc… It’s basically a really quick, convenient way to FTP yourself a file. When you install the program, you are given a “live” folder on each device. Anything you put into that folder will be synced between all of your folders on all of your different devices. It does it within seconds too. Really convenient.
So stop emailing yourself files. Start using DropBox. Hopefully it’ll help you save some time. BTW, they have paid versions, but I haven’t seen it necessary to upgrade from the free version yet.
