Windows Live Messenger Mobile Still Won’t Work.

Am I the only person aware of this issue?

I did some searching the other day for forums regarding Windows Live Messenger mobile not working and I couldn’t really find any solid leads as to wtf is up. I have installed several different ROMs on my device, and no matter what I do, it simply won’t connect.

I get one of the two following errors:

There was a problem signing you in to Messenger. It may be the service or you may be in a place with bad reception. Please try again later.

or

There is a problem with the server. Please try again later.

What’s funny is that if I’m signed in on my desktop, right after I get the error message on my mobile device, I get this message on my desktop:

You have signed in to Messenger on too many other computers. Click here to sign in again.

So apparently the lights are on, but nobody’s home.

I’ll be the first to admit that I probably wouldn’t even use it if it did work, but simply the fact that the program is on my phone, and it’s not working drives me insane. I know that it should be working because my email sync’s just fine, and everything is dandy as far as that goes, but something’s jacked up with Windows Live Messenger Mobile. I’ll update this post if I figure out what the deal is.

I’m guessing that we’ll have to wait until Windows Mobile 6.5 for any fix for this.

P.S. I just installed the new Mighty ROM (4.6) and it’s quite impressive. Super speedy, and it beats the heck out of Juicy’s latest release (4.13).

Too bad neither of these ROM chef’s got WLMessenger working.

    I get a similar problem on my mobile. I recently got a new phone on t-mobile and sent for the 30 free trial. I thought this was great since i could keep in touch with my boyfriend everywhere for free because he does not live near me. I have had it for 10 days now and i get signed on and everything. But it will not send messages to people. After about 2 – 3 minutes. it says ‘There is a problem with the server. Please try again later.’ and i have been looking everywhere on the internet to fix it. But can’t find it. I’mglad it’s 30 days free because it would have been a waste of mopney orelse. Funny thing is my sister has the same phone, and the same network and it works fine on hers :S

    That sucks…I still haven’t found out the problem either.

    I can sign in, however, on windows mobile messenger using a different account. You may want to try making a new account and re-adding your old contacts.

    Ahhh. Cool thanks, Yeah i just made a new one for my phone and it worked fine. I can send messages and everything now. :)

    I’m having the same problem with Messenger on my phone. But the weird thing is that i have my password saved on it, so i cant change it, well, i just dont knoe how too. If you know how to change my email address on the Windows Messenger Mobile, please please please reply!
